Starbucks (Copycat) Vanilla Iced Coffee
I don’t know about you, but I like my coffee just about any way. I just LOVE coffee…period!
One of my favorite coffee concoctions is flavored iced coffee. My personal favorite is the vanilla iced coffee from Starbuck’s.
As we all know though, Starbuck’s is expensive. Even the iced coffee being one of the cheaper items on their menu, it still adds up! I’ve been determined to find a way to make it home and still taste just as good as the Starbuck’s version.
So, here’s my recipe for vanilla iced coffee, that I personally think is pretty darn close to Starbuck’s.
Items Needed:
- ground coffee (My personal favorite is Starbuck’s House Blend.)
- ice cubes
- vanilla syrup (I usually use Torani brand)
- half and half (preference)
- pitcher
Brew about 8 cups of coffee (8 cups of water, about 8 heaping scoops of coffee grounds) in a normal coffee pot, on the BOLD setting (if your maker has this).
When the coffee is finished brewing, fill a pitcher (heat proof) halfway with ice cubes. Then, pour the hot coffee over the ice cubes and stir until all ice is melted.
Next, take your favorite cup and fill it about 3/4 of the way with ice. Then add vanilla syrup (This is trial and error with your preference…I use about 3 Tbs in my large Tervis cup). Now, fill your cup about 3/4 of the way with your coffee. Top it off with half and half (or milk/whatever you prefer) and stir it all together.
Finally, sip and enjoy! 🙂
The perfect flavored ice coffee for a warm summer day, or any time of the year!
